It’s taken me a while… I had to experience it all. Had to struggle through my teen years, while devoting myself to writing, reading, singing and photography. Making ends meet with scholarships and loans through high school and college. Working odd jobs, volunteering overseas, throwing myself into school and too many activities to mention. I didn’t allow myself the right to truly experience the drunken foolish days of college because I had a goal. I pursued it… Started my first real job two days after graduating. Eventually moved to New York, traveled to location after international location. Have been pursuing that goal for over 20 years until I realized a career is not the only way to reach fulfillment. I’m kinda there, but there’s so much more that I could do. Someday I’ll find a role where I can travel, go to concerts, sit in the sun and get paid for it… But for now, I’m ready.
I know he’s out there. I feel it in my bones now. Tall, thin, possibly bespectacled, above all kind… He’ll love art, music, traveling. We’ll sit in a piazza and eat cheese and prosciutto. We’ll laugh and build a life. Have waited for years, but that day is coming. Soon.
If the fine folk of Ra Ra Riot are in your town, GO! Pleasantly surprised that they will be performing at two shows I already have tickets to… Boston Calling + Postal Service. Can’t wait.

“His kindness and his sense of humor were probably the main things that attracted me. I met him when I was 24 and we’ve been together ever since. I went on so few dates in my life before I was married, but it was kind of love at first sight for my husband and me.
It was very easy and affectionate from the beginning, and there was none of that no-calling-back or game-playing. We didn’t get married until I was 31, but we knew early on that it was something we wanted to do; it was just a matter of us living in the same city again. Jeff was in Chicago and I’d moved to New York [for SNL], but there was never any question about us being together: I was very lucky in that sense.”
